The Section of Environmental Science was established in 2003 and currently has 6 teachers, including 1 professor, 3 associate professors, and 2 lecturers. 1 is a famous teaching teacher in Liaoning Province. The teaching and research section is fully responsible for the professional construction of environmental science and environmental engineering (undergraduate), environmental chemical engineering (master) discipline construction, and talent training. The section undertakes more than ten undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Environmental Science, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Monitoring, Ecology, Environmental Pollutant Analysis, Environmental Engineering, and Environmental Impact Assessment, as well as postgraduate courses such as chemical functional materials and supramolecular chemistry. The section focuses on research on technologies and countermeasures for water control, atmospheric environment (indoor air), and solid waste in response to major environmental issues in the pharmaceutical field. At present, the research fields have been formed: research on new technologies for pretreatment of environmental analysis, research on the status quo of pharmaceutical wastewater pollution and control countermeasures, and research on ecological restoration of water pollution. In the past five years, the section has undertaken 28 research projects, including 7 projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 15 provincial projects, and 6 other projects, with an actual amount of more than 2 million yuan. More than 100 papers have been published in academic journals, with more than 80 SCI-cited papers. Some of the research results have reached the international advanced and domestic leading levels. 2 people won the third prize of the Liaoning Natural Science Academic Achievement Award, and several won the Shenyang Natural Science Academic Achievement Award.
