There are 15 teachers in the section of Inorganic Chemistry, including 1 professor, 7 associate professors, and 7 lecturers, among whom 12 teachers have doctoral degrees and 3 are masters. Teachers graduated from Jilin University, Dalian University of Technology, Northeast Normal University, Northeast University, and Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. 4 teachers have overseas study experience. The teachers are all with outstanding academic background, reasonable knowledge structure, and enhanced teaching and research experience.
The section is responsible for editing three textbooks for the undergraduate courses "Inorganic Chemistry", "Inorganic Chemistry Experiments" and "Inorganic Chemistry Monograph", as well as the optional course "Coordination Chemistry". In the past five years, the section has undertaken 2 provincial-level teaching reform projects, 1 school-level teaching reform project. A school-level teaching achievement was awarded. Besides, "Inorganic Chemistry" was built into a provincial-level resource sharing course in 2015.
While completing the undergraduate teaching work, the section also undertakes the training of graduate students in the disciplines of inorganic chemistry and applied chemistry, mainly researching on: inorganic drugs and excipients, medicinal complexes, analysis of the inorganic chemical components of traditional Chinese medicine, etc. 3 National Natural Science Funds and multiple provincial and municipal funds were undertaken. 5 Chinese invention patents were approved. More than 100 scientific papers were published, including more than 40 SCI-cited papers.
